Chocolate, chocolate everywhere...

Paper Garden Project's last B-day Challenge is to use some background stamping.  So what better way to accomplish this than with Mr. Chocolate Bunny, who evidently already met an unfortunate fate.  Not sure if you can tell from this picture, but his ear has already been bitten...  Just part of his charm...

Anyway, this doesn't usually happen on my cards but everything on here is A*Muse, and all from PaperTales including the new 4-bar Latte cards.  'Yummy bunny,' his real name, is my favorite Easter stamp and paired amazingly well with 'chocolate assortment' which came out around Valentine's Day.  For the chocolate bars on the top, I just used my stamp-a-ma-jig to line everything up, and cropped out the rest of the images on the chocolate assortment stamp.  I also used glaze pens on Yummy bunny to bring him to life a little more.

So Happy Birthday PGP!!!  Now I'm off to find some chocolate of my own...

Easter - ish...

So this is my first Easter card and I named it 'Easter - ish' because that's how I feel about this one, 'ish'.

{So you might be asking what 'ish' is - it's basically a nicer way of saying shit...  So this way you can say what you think and no moron can give you a cross look like you've personally just attacked Mother Theresa...}  

Anyway...  I've been dying to use my A*Muse Peep, of course from PaperTales, and I paired it with the small Peep stamp from Michaels...  I'm just not that 'in love' yet...  I will continue to work with my Peep stamps and see what comes of it.  I currently have 2 more in the works, so we'll just have to wait and see...  In the interim, here is some 'ish' to entertain you...

Happy Birthday EMMGA...

Happy Birthday EMMGA!!!  Just as a side note, no one around me has just one name or nickname for that matter.  EMMGA stands for: Emma (this would be the real name), Marbles, Mema, Giggles and Amber.  There are more, but they're not necessarily politically correct in any sense.

Back to the important stuff:  I took an A*Muse 4 bar, pink, note card and trimmed a few inches off of the bottom, and replaced most of it with the matching off-white cardstock - being sure to leave enough space for the sentiment.  I then paired the goose stamp from my Farmyard Friends Stamp Kit with the cupcake row from Odd Bird Plant.  Throw in some glitter and tons of ink from my Glaze pens and EMMGA's card is now complete.

I will share a little secret as I was not happy with the color choices I originally made on Ms. Goose's apron - so off to the magical Copic Apron store she went for an updated look that better matched the rest of the card...  If only real life were that easy...

Weeds or Flowers?

When I read Paper Garden Project's week 2 B-day Challenge and saw that I was tasked to use some flowers, I was stumped.  Seriously, not a huge fan of "traditional" flowers and as you can see by all of the cards I have posted thus far - there is not one flower on any of them...  

As with almost everything in my life, I prefer the road less traveled - a solid non-traditionalist!  And so I remembered my dandelion stamp from JJ's Odd Bird Planet.  I don't feel that the dandelion gets enough credit, I'm sure if you asked anyone for their favorite flower, the word, or weed, dandelion wouldn't be a frequent answer if it was an answer at all...  So I was thrilled to use it for this challenge and I thought it paired nicely with gnome kitty, also from OBP.  All of the Paper, flower, buttons, etc. are from PGP's Farmyard Friends Stamp Kit (my new love!!!).  And the sentiment, make a wish, is A*Muse.

Up, up and away to the Paper Garden Projects Birthday Challenge we go...

I was excited to read about Paper Garden Project's Birthday Bash blog challenge.  I actually just placed my first order with them about a week or so ago and have been playing with my new stamps since.  One of my favorites is Bubbly, a Penny Black stamp set that I bought from them.  Among the Bubbly set is this adorable kitty going for a ride on his balloons and my inspiration for a Birthday card.

Or specifically in this case it was an, Un-Birthday card for someone who chooses not to 'celebrate' them anymore.  To each his own, as I personally enjoy gifts and any excuse to give and/or receive them...

I used a plain sky-blue paper for the card and just sponge painted some clouds in.  For the balloons on the sides, I actually just cropped the center balloon from Kitty's bunch and cut a bunch of them out.  (which coincidentally make very intriguing cat toys...)  For the balloon strings, I used some black sewing thread from a mini-sewing kit we had.  Finally, I used my SU crystal effects for all of the balloons and voila, you have Up, Up and Away...
